Our Story

The Delta Community Journey

Delta Community Credit Union was founded in 1940 as the Delta Employees Credit Union, established to provide financial services to employees of what was then Delta Air Lines. From these humble beginnings, we've grown to become Georgia's largest credit union, serving more than 400,000 members across the region and beyond.

For over 80 years, our commitment to member service and financial well-being has remained at the core of everything we do. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we're owned by our members – not shareholders – which means our focus is always on delivering value through better rates, fewer fees, and exceptional service.

Today, Delta Community is open to anyone who lives or works in metro Atlanta, as well as employees of more than 150 select employer groups. Our expansion has allowed us to bring the credit union difference to more people while maintaining the personalized service and community focus that sets us apart.
